Saint Augustine's Congregation

St. Augustine’s has a small but active congregation. We are a fluid blend of local residents near and far, short term/itinerant residents and families, and summer visitors.

Our mission at St. Augustine’s is to be a community of worship, prayer and service, welcoming all with love and acceptance. As a smaller congregation, we feel more connected to the church through our presence and contributions.

Church History

Saint Augustine's Our Beginnings

The continued presence of the Episcopal faith in Homer can be credited to many dedicated individuals. Beginning in the 1940’s, church membership ebb and flowed, with short-term priests, deacons and lay leaders leading worship to a small group wherever they could. In 2007, the dream of having a Episcopal church home became a reality. Learn how faith has led us to where we are today.
